THANK YOU TO VOLUNTEERS The
Elmwood Cemetery Society would like to extend a THANK YOU to all of the
volunteers who have helped out at the cemetery in recent weeks to get
the cemetery ready for the summer. These volunteers have done everything

contributed many hours and much energy to picking up limbs, filling
holes, and raking leaves, all for the purpose of preserving this
important piece of Kansas City history, and making it a place where
family members will feel a sense of dignity where they can pay their
respects to loved ones who are at rest in Elmwood.Just a few of those groups and individuals who have worked so hard at Elmwood include: Students from the History Club at Bishop Miege High School; Members of SACS (Singles Available for Community Service); Asplundh Tree Expert Co.; Shawn's Lawn & Landscaping; Mike & Johnny from the grounds crew at Mission Hills Country Club; Andy & Johnny Mathews from Mathews Construction Co.; Professional golfer and course designer Tom Watson; Urban Tree Specialists; Professional Tree Care, Inc.; Bob Closser; John "Pete" Peterson; Roger Douthit; Noble Page; Tom & Jennifer Laming; Ed & D.J.
